While I was Director of Technology at AudioNet/Broadcast.com, New Riders Press asked if I would be interested in doing a book about the emerging world of online media. I agreed and enlisted the help of my friend Jim Cline to co-author the book with me. Our editor, Steve Weiss, who I believe is now with O’Reilly, was fabulous to work with.
We had a very tight deadline and, at the time, AudioNet/Broadcast.com was a 14+ hour a day rocket ride. Somehow, in those remaining hours of the day, we managed to put the book together before the deadline. Steve later admitted that the folks at New Riders had not believed we could pull it off in time! The end result is a book that I’m still very proud to have been involved with. It was the first serious book about Internet media and Internet broadcasting. |
